for tim goodwin and anne towns - keeping it real
So, yes, I am finally updating my blog.
You know when you’re in a bar in Rochester, NY and people start talking about what a lazy blogger you are – that it’s gotten out of control. Then again if there’s one way to describe Rochester, NY it’s “out of control”.
So, today was my final full day at Cal Shakes. I’m still working on a few things for the theater – but today was my last day with a desk. When I left Joy Meads looked very sad, so I hugged her and told her that when I was able to raise enough money I would send for her. That seemed to comfort her.
So, now I’m faced with turning this blog into a personal blog as opposed to a “work approved one” – so, let’s see if I can do it.
Hopefully news soon on what the new gig may be – right now it’s just freelance – I’m leaving tomorrow to go to New York for a production in Rochester (Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl) and a reading in NYC (Amazons & Their Men by Jordan Harrison). That’s right it’s a whole month of Brown writers for me. Let the Paula Vogel influence wash over you…
Oh, what did I do after my final hours at Cal Shakes? Went on a long walk with these two fine companions. This picture is from a few months ago – man, no one does hung-over like me.

Come on down and visit L.A. You should start a theatre here, it's a great town for it (and by that I mean do not under any circumstances start a theatre in L.A. unless you enjoy grief and mental anguish). Also, you look pretty happy in that picture. Also, we can see up your shorts. Also, I hope all goes well for you.
